Please come visit this site often. It is a continuous work in progress...and as the 'Keeper of the Site' is a bit technologically
challenged  -- sometimes things might look a bit strange  --  so sit back, have a laugh, and we'll try to keep the updates actually
updated!!
RIVER'S EDGE STABLES
Stop by and visit us anytime. Someone is
available from 8:30 a.m. to at least 5 p.m.
(and quite often later) to show you around.
We have several nice horses for sale in
various stages of training. We also have for
sale first cut Hay (a Timothy/Orchard Grass
mix), Shavings, and Stall Mats
($42.00 each, for
10 or more -- $40.00 each)
.
Autumn has once again blown in. The nights are getting chilly
and the horses are getting woolly. The holidays are fast approaching.
Winter will be in full swing before we realize it. Things don't slow down
much at River's Edge even for this time of year.
We had our 3rd Annual Halloween Spooktacular and raised
$480.00 for the Utopia Youth Ranch in Danville, NH. These people are
awesome. They take in equine rescues and pair them up with kids
from troubled homes. Both the horses and the children can learn,
grow, and heal in their caring environment. Check them out at:
Many thanks yous go out to all of our performers, volunteers,
decorators, and horses for making this happen!!
Then we hosted our 3rd Annual Haunted Barn, and I must say,
this year's was awesome. I only hope we can make next year's as good.

Our next adventure will be the Wassail Parade in Woodstock, VT
on Dec. 12, 2009. This is such a neat event, all horses, no fire engines,
cars, trucks, or floats, just horses being ridden, led, and driven.
Everyone puts on their holiday best and enjoys an afternoon of showing
their horses to a very receptive crowd. This year we are headed for a
'Candyland' theme, with Sugarplum fairies and starlight mints galore.
(Hopefully the horses won't eat all of our decorations before we get
through the parade!!!)

January is not far away, and show season arrives all to quickly
after that. We are planning next years schedule now, so stay tuned,
providing the cyber-gods are benevolent, I will try to keep better
updates. I do know Paul Dietz would like to join us again in
September, so make your plans now for an awesome clinic.
